1. Purpose of the Site
This Site is operated by Wala for Maryland (the “Campaign”) to support Councilwoman Wala Blegay’s candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in Maryland’s 5th Congressional District. The Site provides information, accepts donations, and facilitates volunteer coordination.

2. Collection of Contact Information
When you provide your name, email address, or phone number through this Site, you agree that we may use this information to:

• Send updates regarding Wala Blegay’s congressional run.
• Provide notifications about campaign events and opportunities in MD-05.
• Deliver administrative messages related to your engagement with the Campaign.

3. Broadcast SMS/MMS Text Messaging (Opt-In)

By providing your mobile phone number on our sign-up forms, you are providing your express written consent to receive recurring automated and broadcast text messages, SMS (Short Message Service) and MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), from the Campaign.

• Scope: Messages will relate to campaign news, voting reminders, fundraising, and event alerts
• Auto Opt-In Disclosure: By submitting your number, you acknowledge that messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or donation.
• Fees: Message and data rates may apply according to your specific mobile plan.
• Frequency: Message frequency varies based on the election cycle and campaign updates.

• To Unsubscribe: Reply STOP to any message you receive. You will receive one final confirmation text.

5. Privacy Commitment (No Sale of Data)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, Maryland’s Online Data Privacy Act. Any disputes shall be resolved by the Maryland Attorney General (Consumer Protection Division).
